With the family, including my son's clan, we particularly loved the cozy living area, which reminded me of home. Plus, exploring nearby hiking trails was a hit for everyone. The overall ambiance was just good.

In my wife's opinion, an indoor play area for kids would be great.

Homely hotel. A decent size, well-appointed units provided with a fireplace, a frig, as for instance. Central location, a 10-15 minute walking distance from Photography West Gallery.

The cozy lobby with a fireplace and endless coffee were great, while the large pool was perfect for winding down after a day of exploring. Relaxing by the heated pool and lounging in the garden area was just what we needed. The only downside was that the furniture in the room could use a little updating, but it didn't ruin our great stay 🌟

Thank you for a peaceful stay. The staff is outstandingly helpful here, the services are good, and location is unbeatable close to fabulous restaurants and shops and Carmel Village shops and Monterey, 17 mile drive or the Hearst Castle along Hwy 1. Svendsgaard's inn is in a great location, just a short walk from the main town area. The classic king room was very clean and cozy. The staff was excellent, especially ricky, who always greeted us with a smile. We loved the outdoor pool. It was a hit with the kids and perfect.
